Subject: Set up RingLink system (yeah!)
Hello! I have now successfully set up the RingLink system on my new host! Man oh man, was this fun!
What fun I've had since the yahoo's at Yahoo destroyed webring. Who would have guessed the results of their thoughtless, malicious?, destructive change. Okay, here's what happened:
What's cool about all this? Well, now I've gone on to a better provider, learned some CGI (my experience is Windows NT and ASP), learned how to transfer a domain to a new host (easy), learned about htaccess (very cool), began hosting my own Ringlink system for my rings and others (very, very cool) and moved all of mine and my wife's site to a new, better provider (we have 8 sites total).
On top of that, I have now gotten in communication with hundreds of ringmasters (lots of fun), helped a few move their rings elsewhere (mostly to RingSurf), talked over a dozen into leaving Yahoo! (not hard), adopted a few rings, and have learned what a great group of people ringmasters really are. As a rule, I've found Ringmasters to be caring, community minded, creative people with whom I've totally enjoyed communicating with.

Thought you'd been talking to my mother, who sometimes calls me Jon and my brother James.
Thanks, Richard. Couldn't resist the tug. Glad Ringlink is going so well.
And thanks for all the quotes and links on your site.
