Creating The Join Page

Most webrings have a reason for their existence. Consider that a webring is a special pathway through the garden of the internet, connecting similar sites together to create an experience of some kind. That's exactly what a webring is - a little path through the wilds of the untamed web, allowing surfers to safely navigate the many dangers and thus gain something from their travels.

In fact, when you think about it, managing a webring properly is a heck of a lot of work - sometimes it can be as much work as maintaining a good sized web site. If your ring gets large (over 200 member sites) you may find yourself needing an assistant. Some very large rings may have several ringmasters and over a dozen assistants.

Once you have decided upon a ring theme and created the fragment it's time to create the join page (or pages, depending upon how fancy you want to get). What's a join page? This is the document that your prospective ring members use to join your ring.
